Chips and Guacamole by Miami Product Photographer Tom Clark

Tom Clark is a still life, food and product photographer based in Miami offering commercial and editorial photography services throughout the U.S.

When I got the idea for this shot, I confidently purchased ingredients for guacamole and one bag of tortilla chips. It wasn’t until half the shot was composed that I realized my mistake. Bags of tortilla chips are overwhelmingly filled with broken pieces. Luckily, each chip has two sides and I was able to hopscotch my way to a full composition.

I borrowed Sesame Street’s “one of these things” theme for this series. After-all, they embedded it into my unconscious so many years ago… it was bound to come out sooner or later.
